Marc Marquez won the MotoGP Australian Grand Prix sprint at Phillip Island on Saturday, moving back into the lead of the championship standings. His title rival Jorge Martin crashed out from second place.

The two Spaniards battled for victory after the track completely dried out following earlier rain showers. Martin's crash came just after the halfway point of the sprint.
