NASCAR warned nearly the entire field during the first stage of Sunday's Cup Series race at Talladega with the threat of a black flag if drivers did not pick up the pace and meet minimum speed.

According to the source material, everyone except the three RFK Racing drivers began driving slowly around the 2.66-mile superspeedway in the name of fuel saving. That triggered race control to issue automatic notifications to cars that were below minimum speed.
